Biography

Sonja Härtle is a scientific assistant and a veterinary specialist in immunology at the Ludwig Maximilians University of Munich. Her research focuses on the development and differentiation of the B-cell system in chickens as well as the immune response of chickens to Influenza A virus infections. She also employs a retroviral gene transfer system, RCAS, for functional genomic analysis in chickens. Her name changed from 'Kothlow' to 'Härtle' in 2010, and some of her publications may still be found under her previous name. Sonja Härtle is recognized as a member of the German Society for Immunology (DGfI).
