Dr. Sonny Astani

Biography

Sonny Astani earned his Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Southern California in 2003. He also holds master’s degrees in Environmental Engineering from both City College of New York (1995) and Korea University (1991), along with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Korea University (1989). He is affiliated with several professional organizations including the American Academy of Environmental Engineers, the American Chemical Society, the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Water Works Association, the California Water Environment Association, and the Water Environment Federation. His research focuses on Advanced Oxidation Processes, Biological Nutrient Removal, and Membrane Filtration Processes.
