Biography

Soo-Jeong Lee is an Associate Professor and a core faculty member in the Occupational & Environmental Health Nursing program at the University of California, San Francisco, since 2010. She received her PhD from UCSF in 2007 and completed her post-doctoral training in public health epidemiology through the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health's Epidemic Intelligence Service program. With 19 years of research experience in occupational health, she has worked as a research contractor for the California Department of Public Health's Occupational Health Branch. Her research interests focus on safety behavior, risk perception, musculoskeletal disorders, chemical exposure, healthcare workers, occupational health surveillance, and epidemiology. Dr. Lee closely collaborates with her PhD students in their research training, participating in doctoral seminars and serving on dissertation committees. She teaches courses in Occupational Health and Diverse Worker Populations and Principles & Methods of Epidemiology.
