Soo Min Toh's main research interests focus on the interactions between sojourners and their host country co-workers and supervisors, particularly how these relationships affect the psychological, socio-cultural, and economic adaptation of sojourners. She is also interested in the role of social undermining and its outcomes for immigrants. Currently, Soo Min is engaged in a research project funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Council that examines the experiences of new immigrants in Canada and how these experiences impact long-term career success. Her research has been published in premier journals such as the Academy of Management Review, the Journal of Applied Psychology, and Psychological Science, and she has presented at numerous international conferences. Soo Min serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of World Business and has taught a variety of courses in international management as well as workshops in organizational behavior and human resource management since her appointment at the University of Toronto Mississauga in 2003. Before joining UTM, she obtained her Ph.D. in Management from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.
