Biography

Soohyun Liao specializes in Computer Science education and is passionate about conducting research to enhance diversity and equity in Computer Science programs. Currently, he is affiliated with the CSEd Research Lab at the University of California, San Diego. Before joining UCSD, he worked as teaching faculty at Princeton University, his alma mater where he completed his Ph.D. Soohyun has a strong commitment to improving educational outcomes for underrepresented groups in the field. He enjoys traveling and has had the opportunity to visit all continents, including Antarctica, although his exploration is currently limited by the demands of parenthood with a two-year-old child.
