Biography

Soosan Beheshti received a B.S. degree from Isfahan University of Technology, Isfahan, Iran, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge, in 1996 and 2002, respectively, in electrical engineering. She has been a Postdoctoral Associate and Lecturer at MIT from September 2002 to June 2005. In July 2005, she joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Toronto Metropolitan University as a Professor. Her research interests include signal information processing, statistical signal processing, information theory, data denoising, data compression, control, and system theory modeling.
