Dr. Sophia Mao

Biography

Sophia Mao is a Lecturer in the Department of English at Harvard University. She specializes in Asian American literature and contemporary global Anglophone literature, with a focus on affect theory and media studies. Mao's academic work examines the intersection of cultural narratives and the complexities of identity in the modern era. She has a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, and both her M.A. and Ph.D. were completed at Harvard University.
