Dr. Sophie Brière

Biography

Sophie Brière is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Business Administration (FSA) of Laval University. She is also an Associate Researcher and a member of the steering committee of the Chaire Claire Bonenfant-Femmes-Savoirs-Sociétés. With a focus on organizational behavior, change management, and equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), her work includes studies on improving EDI practices in international development and managing religious diversity in Quebec universities. Brière teaches courses in project management, humanitarian action, and international development, contributing significantly to the academic community. She has supervised multiple doctoral and master's students as a research director and co-director, influencing the next generation of researchers. Her affiliations with various academic committees and her involvement in conferences underline her commitment to advancing knowledge in her field. Brière has also gained recognition for her editorial work and has participated in several symposia aimed at promoting women in leadership roles. In addition to her academic duties, she is engaged in projects that address gender disparities in various sectors, promoting inclusivity and developing frameworks to combat challenges faced by women in the workforce.
