Sophie J Camp holds a degree in Experimental Psychology from Corpus Christi College, Oxford, and a PhD from the Institute of Neurology, Queen Square, with a thesis entitled "Memory Function in Multiple Sclerosis," funded by the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. She studied Medicine at Royal Free University College Medical School and completed her Neurosurgery Training through the London (North Thames) Rotation. In 2015, she was awarded an NIHR Academic Clinical Lectureship, focusing on neuro-oncology. Since 2016, she has served as a Consultant Neurosurgeon at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and became an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Imperial College London in 2017. Her main research interests include neuro-oncology and cranial trauma, particularly the development of intraoperative ultrasound for brain tumor resection and image analysis. She is the co-Chief Investigator for the FUTURE-GB trial, a multicenter, randomized controlled trial funded by NIHR EME, aimed at improving the quality of life and outcomes for glioblastoma patients. Additionally, she serves as a supervisor for PhD, MRes, and MSc students and co-leads the Translational Brain Tumour Group.
