Professor Dr. Søren Wahlgren

Biography

Søren Sølund Wahlgren is affiliated with Aarhus University where he specializes in areas such as fracture mechanics, fatigue, solid mechanics, and composites. His research focuses on the mechanical behavior of materials and structures under various loading conditions. He is also involved in advanced computational techniques, including finite element analysis (FEA), to optimize material and structural performance. Apart from his scholarly work, he actively participates in projects aimed at developing innovative solutions for energy storage, such as the HyFly project, which explores the design of hybrid glass-carbon fiber flywheels for efficient mechanical energy storage. His research contributes significantly to understanding and addressing challenges in material science and engineering applications.
