Biography

Sotiris Lalaounis is an Associate Professor of Brand Design Management at the University of Bristol Business School. He previously served as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Exeter, where he directed the undergraduate marketing course. Sotiris earned his undergraduate degree in marketing from the University of Strathclyde and holds postgraduate degrees in public relations from the University of Stirling and in design digital media from The University of Edinburgh. His research focuses on management organizational paradoxes and tensions within the creative industries. He attained a PhD in design management from the Centre for Creative Industries, Glasgow Caledonian University, exploring business development issues faced by design firms as part of a UK Government Knowledge Transfer Partnership. Sotiris teaches in an interdisciplinary manner, utilizing his academic background and professional experience in branding, marketing, and creativity in design. He has authored two textbooks, including 'Design Management' and 'Strategic Brand Management Development', both published by Routledge. Sotiris is recognized as a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, a Certified Management & Business Educator, and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
