Dr. Soudeh Ghorbani

Biography

Soudeh Ghorbani is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Johns Hopkins University. She specializes in large-scale foundational networked systems. Ghorbani has been recognized with multiple research grants from organizations such as the National Science Foundation, Google, Meta, Intel, and VMware. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Sharif University of Technology in Iran in 2009, followed by a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Toronto in 2011. Ghorbani completed her PhD in Computer Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2016. Her research involves timely detection and mitigation of microbursts in large-scale networks, showcasing her contributions to the field of systems networking.
