Biography

Sowmya Mahalingam is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging at Yale University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Yale and later accepted a faculty position in the Section of Emergency Radiology. She holds fellowships in Abdominal Imaging from the University of Washington in Seattle and in Neuroradiology from George Washington University in Washington, DC. Her research interests include traumatic injuries of the head and neck and the imaging of dementia and neurodegenerative disorders. In addition to her clinical research activities, Dr. Mahalingam is actively involved in teaching radiology residents in both Radiology and Emergency Medicine.
