Biography

Spencer Bryngelson is a tenure-track assistant professor in the College of Computing at Georgia Tech. He was previously a senior postdoctoral researcher at Caltech, collaborating with Professor Tim Colonius. Additionally, he has worked as a visiting researcher at MIT under Professor Themis Sapsis and as a postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Exascale Simulation of Plasma-Coupled Combustion (XPACC). He holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign, where he worked with Professor Jonathan Freund. He also earned B.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics from the University of Michigan–Dearborn.
