Biography

Spyridon Stathopoulos is a Principal Experimental Officer at the University of Edinburgh in the School of Engineering. His research primarily focuses on semiconductor physics, specifically on the realization, fabrication, and characterization of novel devices based on semiconductors and thin films. He has a strong interest in heterogeneous integration of thin films and semiconductors to facilitate applications for novel memory technologies and beyond-CMOS electronics. He is responsible for developing new fabrication and testing processes within the integrated micro and nano systems research area. Spyridon holds an MSc in Applied Physics from the National University of Athens, obtained in 2009, and a PhD in Applied Physics from the same institution, completed in 2015.
