Biography

Spyros Artavanis-Tsakonas, Ph.D., is Professor Emeritus of Cell Biology at Harvard Medical School, where he has contributed to the field since 1998. He earned his doctoral degree from Cambridge University, England, and continued his research as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Basel, Switzerland, and Stanford University. Artavanis-Tsakonas has held the position of Chief Scientific Officer at Biogen from 2012 to 2016.
