Dr. Sreekanta Das

Biography

Dr. Sreekanta Das is a Professor and the Associate Dean of Research in Graduate Studies at the University of Windsor, specializing in Civil Environmental Engineering. His academic expertise is in the development of environmentally sustainable cementitious materials and the utilization of steel modular construction through 3D printing. Dr. Das has extensive experience as a Structural Engineer and has held various positions, including a Defence Scientist at the Department of National Defence in Canada. He has conducted significant research on the behavior of masonry structures, structural fatigue in steel oil and gas pipes, and rehabilitation techniques using fiber-reinforced polymers (FRP). Dr. Das is actively involved in graduate education and mentoring, particularly for doctoral students in civil engineering with a focus on structural engineering and materials. He encourages students with strong academic backgrounds and programming skills to apply to join his research group.
