Biography

Srikanta Mishra received his Ph.D. from the University of Southampton in England and holds a master's degree in audiology from the India Institute of Speech & Hearing in Mysore. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the House Ear Institute in Los Angeles. His research focuses on peripheral auditory mechanics, hearing development, and the efferent system's otoacoustic emissions. Dr. Mishra's research is funded by the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders at the National Institutes of Health. He has published scientific papers in prominent journals such as Ear & Hearing, the Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, Hearing Research, and the Journal of the Association for Research in Otolaryngology. Dr. Mishra also serves as a reviewer for NIH grants and is an Assistant Editor for the Journal of the American Academy of Audiology, for which he received the JAAA Editor's award in 2013.
