Biography

Srikanta Mishra is a Research Professor in the Department of Petroleum Engineering at Texas A&M University. He earned his Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering from Stanford University in 1987, and holds an M.S. from the University of Texas at Austin and a B.Tech. from the Indian School of Mines. His research focuses on energy transition and decarbonization strategies, computational subsurface modeling, petroleum data analytics, and pressure transient analysis. In recognition of his contributions to the field, he has received numerous accolades including the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the Indian Institute of Technology Dhanbad in 2023 and the International Award for Data Science Engineering Analytics from the Society of Petroleum Engineers in 2022. Additionally, he has been honored with the Distinguished Member Award and served as a Distinguished Lecturer for the Society of Petroleum Engineers. His career includes a significant role as a Senior Research Leader (Institute Fellow) at Battelle Memorial Institute.
