Dr. Sriram Vishwanath

Biography

Sriram Vishwanath is a Georgia Research Alliance (GRA) Eminent Scholar and the Ken Byers Chair in Telecommunications at Georgia Institute of Technology. His research focuses on wireless systems and decentralized infrastructure, emphasizing the intersection of theory and practice. He has explored areas such as multi-antenna full-duplex wireless communication, large-scale machine learning, and critical infrastructure decentralized platforms. In addition to his academic contributions, Vishwanath is a serial entrepreneur, actively involved in incubating and accelerating deep tech startups. He serves as a technical fellow at MITRE Labs and has earned recognition as a Fellow of the IEEE and a Senior Member of the National Academy of Inventors. He completed his PhD at Stanford University, an MS at Caltech, and a BTech at IIT Madras.
