Professor Dr. Srirang Manohar

Biography

Srirang Manohar is a Full Professor and Chair of Multi-Modality Medical Imaging at the University of Twente. His pioneering work includes research in photoacoustic imaging for breast cancer detection and the development of hybrid ultrasound imaging methods for image-guided radiofrequency ablation. He is focused on utilizing imaging techniques for conditions such as diabetic foot ulcers and rheumatoid arthritis, as well as thyroid nodules. His research covers technology development and early clinical assessment with applications in both ex vivo and in vivo tissue imaging. He has coordinated significant projects including the H2020 project PAMMOTH, running from 2017 to 2021, and leads the Dutch-India consortium on Imaging Needles. Additionally, he serves on the Editorial Board of Elsevier's Photoacoustics journal and participates in numerous international conference committees.
