Biography

Stacey Glasgow is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Research at the University of California, San Diego. She obtained her Ph.D. in Integrative Biology from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center under the mentorship of Dr. Jane E. Johnson. Following her doctoral training, she completed her postdoctoral work at the Center for Cell and Gene Therapy at Baylor College of Medicine, under the supervision of Dr. Benjamin Deneen. Dr. Glasgow's research focuses on the role of glial cells in the central nervous system, particularly their involvement in neurological disorders and gliomas. Her lab employs interdisciplinary approaches to study glial development and the underlying molecular mechanisms of neurodegenerative diseases and tumorigenesis. She is the recipient of the K01 Mentored Research Scientist Development Award from the NIH/NCI, which highlights her contributions and potential in the field of research. Dr. Glasgow aims to unravel the transcriptional regulation and chromatin architecture during glial cell development, contributing to a greater understanding of neural development and associated diseases.
