Biography

Staffan Brege has worked for over thirty years as a researcher and consultant in areas related to business-to-business marketing and business development. His research and teaching primarily focus on business-to-business marketing, relationship marketing, value-added strategies, industrial services, and outsourcing of functional sales. Professor Brege's research interests also include supplier strategies in the automotive industry, supply chain strategies, public purchasing, and strategies for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). He is currently the director of the Centre for Strategy and Business Development and is deeply involved in research concerning Lean Wood Engineering and the Center for Applied Management for small and medium-sized companies. He has authored ten books and over fifty articles in refereed journals. Professor Brege has also served as a consultant in strategy marketing and is an external member of five company boards, including acting as chairman for Almi Företagspartner Östgötland. In academic leadership from the 1990s, he has held roles such as head of the Department of Management and Economics and program director of the International Graduate School of Management and Industrial Engineering. Throughout his career, he has supervised nine PhD students and fourteen licentiates and has actively participated in various academic committees and journal reviews.
