Stav Zandes has a background in psychology and counselling with 20 years of experience in tobacco control and public health, having worked with Quit Victoria and Cancer Council Victoria in various roles. She developed a new unit 'Social Behavioural Sciences' presented for the first time in Semester 1, 2018, based on emerging evidence regarding lifestyle-related behaviours contributing to chronic ill health globally. With a focus on evidence-based medicine and complementary therapies, her approach seeks to provide patient-centered care that is solutions-focused, holistic, and collaborative. Stav is passionate about public health and is committed to engaging future health promotion and public health students to contribute positively to public health outcomes.
