Stefan Bengtsson is an Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer at the Department of Education at Uppsala University. His research focuses on sustainability education, didactics in curriculum theory, and comparative education both in analysis of teaching and instruction. He served as the national coordinator for ESD Sweden from 2015 to 2018 and has been the convenor of the Environmental Sustainability Education network of the European Education Research Association from 2018 to 2023. His previous research projects include the International Monitoring and Evaluating Climate Communication Education Project, SUSTEMO on sustainability transitions, Science Education Action Engagement for Sustainability, and Climate Friendly Vacation Practices.
