Biography

Stefan Hepp is an accomplished entrepreneur and investor with decades of experience in private markets. He co-founded the real estate asset management company INIZIA Group and has served in a leadership role since its acquisition. Previously, he was a Global Business Leader in Private Markets at Mercer and held similar positions at Marsh & McLennan Company. After successfully co-founding SCM Strategic Capital Management AG in 1996 and managing their institutional equity business at Morgan Stanley, he has contributed extensively to financial journals and authored a book on private markets investing published by Wiley & Sons. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of St. Gallen and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. His academic career has been complemented by consulting roles for prominent organizations such as the World Bank and the American Enterprise Institute. Currently, he is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship at the University of Chicago Booth Graduate School of Business and actively participates on several boards and committees within the finance sector.
