Biography

Stefan Leins is a Professor of Social Anthropology at the University of Bern, focusing on economic anthropology. He has served as a visiting researcher at the London School of Economics and taught at various universities, including the University of Liechtenstein, University of Lucerne, and NTNU Trondheim. In 2019, he became an assistant professor of social anthropology at the University of Konstanz. Leins is an expert on cultural practices within financial markets and commodity trading, with his work featured in German-language newspapers and media. He also collaborates with a team researching racialized inequalities in cultural production and knowledge.
