Biography

Stefan Soldner-Rembold's research focuses on particle neutrino physics. He is currently the Head of the Department of Physics at Imperial College London and has previously served as the Spokesperson for large international science collaborations. Between 2018 and 2022, he led the DUNE collaboration, which is the largest international science project aiming to discover CP violation in the lepton sector and to observe supernova neutrinos. He has also led the DZero collaboration at the Tevatron proton-antiproton collider, focusing on the search for Higgs bosons. He is a Fellow of the American Physical Society and the UK's Institute of Physics, and has received the Royal Society Wolfson Research Award, the James Chadwick Medal Prize from the Institute of Physics, and the Max Born Medal Prize from the German Physical Society. In addition, Stefan has served on advisory review boards for funding agencies in the UK and Europe and on the High Energy Physics Advisory Panel (HEPAP) advising the Department of Energy.
