Biography

Stefan Vogel is an Associate Professor at the University of Southern Denmark, with expertise focused on medicinal chemistry and nucleic acids. His academic journey began with a Diplom in Chemistry from the University of Leipzig, followed by a Ph.D. exploring moenomycin antibiotics, supervised by Prof. Peter Welzel. He has held various research and teaching positions, starting as a researcher at Aventis AG in France, progressing through postdoctoral fellowships, and eventually becoming an Assistant Professor in Bioorganic Chemistry and then an Associate Professor in Nanobioscience. His current research interests include the development of targeted delivery systems using modified oligonucleotides, microwave-assisted automated synthesis of peptides, and the synthesis and characterization of soft nanoparticles. He actively engages in teaching multidisciplinary courses on nanochemistry, medicinal chemistry, and molecular biology and participates in multiple research projects collaborating with private foundations and universities. His work is well-recognized, leading to awards and acknowledgment in scientific communities.
