Biography

Stefan Wermter is a Full Professor and Head of the Knowledge Technology Institute at the University of Hamburg. His research focuses on Knowledge Technology, including areas like Neural Networks, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning. He aims to develop nature-inspired systems that utilize hybrid neural symbolic representations, allowing for advanced knowledge discovery and multimodal interaction. Wermter completed his PhD at the University of Hamburg and has held various academic positions, including a professorship at the University of Sunderland. He is active in the scientific community, serving as an Honorary Chair and being involved in several international conferences related to Neural Networks and Artificial Intelligence.
