Dr. Stefan White

Biography

Stefan White is a Professor at Manchester School of Architecture, with significant expertise in architecture and design. He has over 15 years of experience in research-led teaching and professional consultancy, emphasizing the importance of sustainability in architectural practices. White has coordinated several multidisciplinary projects, including his role as a principal investigator for EU initiatives focusing on zero-emission neighborhoods. His academic journey began with studies at the University of Dundee and Kingston University, where he received commendations and went on to complete a PGCE at the University of East London. He has also been recognized for his research efforts, including nominations for the RIBA President’s Medal and the completion of a part-time PhD at UCL's Bartlett School. As part of Manchester Metropolitan University, his work aligns with multiple disciplines, addressing issues such as urbanization and healthy aging through collaborative community engagement. Stefan is committed to creating architectural environments that reflect social needs and promote inclusive living, reflecting his extensive background in both academia and practical architectural application.
