Biography

Stefanie Friedhoff is an Associate Professor of Practice at Brown University School of Public Health and the interim director of the Information Futures Lab (IFL). With a rich background in media, communications, and global health strategy, Friedhoff specializes in knowledge translation and the verification of information. She served as a senior policy advisor for the White House Covid-19 Response Team, addressing population information needs and promoting health equity. Prior to her position at Brown, she directed content strategy at Harvard Global Health Institute and has a background as a foreign correspondent, contributing to major publications. Friedhoff is also a Nieman Fellow at Harvard University.
