Biography

Stefano Bonaglia is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Marine Sciences at the University of Gothenburg. His research focuses on understanding how ecological factors and human processes influence aquatic biogeochemical cycles. Bonaglia employs a combination of sea expeditions and lab experiments to study these effects, utilizing water and sediment sampling, deployment of landers, and various analytical techniques including gas chromatography and mass spectrometry. His current projects investigate greenhouse gas exchange in fjords and the impact of aquaculture on greenhouse gas emissions.
