Dr. Stefano Ermon

Biography

Stefano Ermon is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Stanford University and a Senior Fellow at the Woods Institute for the Environment. His research focuses on methods for scalable and accurate inference in graphical models, statistical modeling of data, large-scale combinatorial optimization, and robust decision-making under uncertainty. He is motivated by a range of applications, particularly in the emerging field of computational sustainability. He completed his Ph.D. in Computer Science at Cornell University in 2015.
