Biography

Stefano Puntoni is the Sebastian S. Kresge Professor of Marketing at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He co-directs the Wharton Human-AI Research initiative. Before joining Penn, he served as the head of the Marketing Department at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, in the Netherlands. He holds a PhD in Marketing from the London Business School and degrees in Statistics and Economics from the University of Padova. His research has been published in leading journals such as the Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Marketing, Nature Human Behavior, and Management Science. He also writes regularly for managerial outlets like Harvard Business Review and MIT Sloan Management Review. His current research focuses on how new technologies, especially artificial intelligence, are transforming consumer behavior and marketing strategies. Puntoni teaches courses on marketing strategy, brand management, and the impact of AI on consumer decision making, emphasizing the integration of behavioral science with technological advancements.
