Biography

Stefano Rebeggiani grew up in the outskirts of Rome (Acilia). He studied Classics at Sapienza University of Rome and then at the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa. After completing his studies, he returned to Sapienza for his Ph.D., while also serving as a Visiting Student at Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge, during the academic year 2010-11. Before joining the Department of Classics at the University of Southern California, he taught at New York University as a Visiting Assistant Professor. His primary research interests lie in the field of Roman literature and culture, with particular attention to epic poetry.
