Stella Skaltsa is a trained classical archaeologist and ancient historian specializing in the study of Hellenistic and Roman material culture in the Eastern Mediterranean. She completed her BA in Athens and further pursued her MPhil and DPhil at Oxford University. Following her studies, she relocated to Brussels to work as a post-doctoral fellow in Copenhagen. Over the past ten years, Dr. Skaltsa has been involved in several significant international projects, including the Copenhagen Associations Project (2011-2016) and the Rhodes Centennial Project (2016-2023), where she collaborated intensively with the Ephorate of Dodecanese on interdisciplinary archaeological endeavors. Stella's main research interests are focused on Hellenistic and Roman Rhodes, associations in the Eastern Mediterranean, Greek civic institutions and architecture, Hellenistic epigraphy, Greek art and archaeology, and amphora studies.
