Biography

Stephanie Corsetti began her media career in community radio in 2007, later becoming a traffic reporter and producer for ABC Radio Melbourne. She contributed to the award-winning Kinglake radio station in the aftermath of the Black Saturday bushfires, assisting communities in recovery. In 2011, she completed her cadetship in ABC's newsroom and worked on the radio current affairs team in Melbourne, filing national stories for World PM. Her work earned her a shortlist for the Melbourne Press Club Quill Award in 2016 for her report on domestic violence. Corsetti has had short-term stints at ABC offices in regional Victoria and the Sydney headquarters. In 2019, she won the TV News Story Award from the Rural Press Club of Victoria and the Victorian Multicultural Commission Media Award in 2020 for her coverage of failures in the family violence system. Over four years at SBS News current affairs, she filed nightly television reports and contributed digital content to youth brand Feed. Alongside her professional work, Corsetti is a lecturer and tutor at RMIT, coordinating delivery of live news bulletins while also tutoring in Media Psychology at the University of Melbourne. Her passion includes podcasting, having launched an original series 'To Extreme' which won an audio report award in 2023, and producing her own podcast 'Unnamed Lights' on Spotify. Her expertise aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in education and media communications.
