Biography

Stephan Dombrowski is a Health Psychologist and has been a full professor at the Faculty of Kinesiology at the University of New Brunswick since 2018. Dombrowski's previous positions include Senior Lecturer at the University of Stirling in the UK and postdoctoral researcher at Newcastle University and the University of Aberdeen in Scotland. He earned his PhD in Health Psychology from the University of Aberdeen in 2010, and he is also qualified in Health Psychology by the British Psychological Society since 2012. Dombrowski holds an MSc in Health Psychology from the University of Sussex and a BA in Psychology from the University of Essex. His research focuses on understanding how to change health behaviours through the application of behaviour change theories. This includes projects aimed at long-term change techniques, communicating behavioural science to lay audiences, and developing text message-based interventions for weight management. He employs a mix of qualitative and quantitative methodologies in his empirical work.
