Biography

Professor Stephan Lewandowsky is a cognitive scientist at the University of Western Australia. He has held prestigious positions, including Australian Professorial Fellow from 2007 to 2012 and was awarded the Discovery Outstanding Researcher Award by the Australian Research Council in 2011. In 2012, he was the Revesz Visiting Professor at the University of Amsterdam and received the Wolfson Research Merit Fellowship from the Royal Society when he moved to the UK in 2013. He has contributed to climate science through his work at CSIRO Oceans & Atmosphere laboratory in Hobart. Professor Lewandowsky has published over 200 scholarly articles and has made significant contributions to discussions on misinformation and its impact on public acceptance of scientific findings. He also has experience as an award-winning educator and has served as Associate Editor for the Journal of Experimental Psychology: Learning, Memory, and Cognition. He is currently the Digital Content Editor for the Psychonomic Society's blogs, focusing on cognitive research.
