Dr. Stephanie Bryan

Biography

Stephanie Bryan is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the School of History and Sociology at Georgia Institute of Technology. She completed her PhD at Emory University, her Master of Liberal Arts at the University of Georgia, and her Bachelor of Arts at Oglethorpe University. Her teaching interests include Food Society and Environmental History, while her research focuses on Environmental and Agricultural History, particularly in the context of the U.S. South. Stephanie's academic work explores the intersections of communities, places, environmental politics, power dynamics, and inequalities within historical frameworks. She is actively engaged in research that examines how agricultural practices and environmental changes affect social structures and community relationships, contributing to a deeper understanding of the historical landscape in the Southern United States.
