Dr. Cassin is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at Toronto Metropolitan University and the Director of Clinical Training. She also leads the Healthy Eating Lifestyle (HEAL) Lab. Her research interests focus on disordered eating, obesity, and bariatric surgery. She investigates psychosocial predictors of bariatric surgery outcomes and interventions to improve these outcomes. Dr. Cassin is a Fellow of the Canadian Association of Cognitive Behavioural Therapies and co-leads the Project ECHO Ontario CBT program. At Toronto Metropolitan University, she teaches courses related to clinical health psychology, including Psychological Disorders, Clinical Psychology, and Eating Disorders, and supervises clinical psychology practicum students at the Psychology Training Clinic in partnership with Unity Health Toronto.
