As a post-doctoral scholar, Stephanie was a recipient of the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation’s Charlie Fischer Fellowship, which focused on advancing patient and family-oriented research. Stephanie completed her JD at the University of Toronto's Faculty of Law and is a member of the Law Society of Ontario. She further earned her LLM and DCL from McGill University's Faculty of Law. In 2014, Stephanie became a wheelchair user after a car accident, which has provided her with lived experience that informs her research in disability law and policy.
