Stephanie graduated as a veterinary surgeon in 2003 from the Royal Veterinary College, University of London. After an internship specializing in equine orthopaedics, she spent a decade practicing as an equine veterinarian. As a tenured full professor in Musculoskeletal Sciences at NDORMS and Senior Research Fellow at Green Templeton College, her research focuses on the mechanisms underlying chronic inflammatory fibrosis in soft tissue joint diseases. Notably, her work aims to develop novel therapeutic strategies for conditions such as tendinopathy, frozen shoulder, and knee arthrofibrosis. Stephanie also serves as the Director of Postgraduate Taught Studies for the MSc in Musculoskeletal Sciences at the University of Oxford, demonstrating her commitment to education and mentorship. Additionally, she is recognized as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy after obtaining a PGCert in Teaching & Learning in Higher Education in 2020.
