Biography

Dr. Stephanie Sibley is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Queen's University. She completed her medical education at Memorial University, followed by residency training in Emergency Medicine and Critical Care Medicine at Queen's. She also holds a Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology from Harvard University. Her research interests focus on new onset atrial fibrillation in critically ill patients, specifically developing methods to quantify atrial fibrillation burden using electronic monitoring, as well as exploring prevention and treatment strategies for determining long-term atrial fibrillation outcomes. In addition to her research, she collaborates with specialists in critical care and emergency medicine and is involved with the Canadian Critical Care Trials Group and Ottawa Hospital Research Group, as well as the European Intensive Care Society.
