Biography

Stephany M Biello is a Professor of Neuroscience at the University of Glasgow. With 27 years of experience as a Sleep Scientist, she completed her PhD at the University of Toronto, Canada, focusing on biological rhythms and sleep. Her current research program seeks to understand how circadian clocks organize physiological and behavioral changes that occur daily, and their implications for health and well-being. In addition to her research, Professor Biello has significant experience in Higher Education in the UK, where she has developed strategies and acted as Head and Deputy Head of the School of Psychology at Glasgow. Currently, she serves as the Dean of Learning in the College of Science and Engineering, actively supporting young people in pursuing careers in science and advocating for equal opportunities. Professor Biello has been involved in numerous public information events about science and has chaired the development of Accessible and Inclusive Learning Policies at the University of Glasgow.
