Dr. Stephen Fowler

Biography

Professor Stephen Fowler is a leading expert in Respiratory Medicine, affiliated with the University of Manchester. He has a comprehensive background in clinical roles, including Honorary Consultant at Wythenshawe Hospital, and has been a pivotal member of the Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He has been involved in extensive teaching, serving as a Postgraduate Tutor in the Division of Infection, Immunity, and Respiratory Medicine, and as an undergraduate clinical lead for the Manchester Medical School's Respiratory, Cardiology, and Hematology semester. His research focuses on the clinical application of breath analysis in identifying and managing respiratory diseases, a lead theme in his work, which includes studies on asthma and other airway diseases. His research has received considerable funding and led to significant advancements in understanding severe asthma and its associated disorders. Over the years, he has been engaged in several collaborations and projects aimed at developing novel methodologies to address respiratory challenges.
