Biography

Stephen Holt attended Columbia University’s College of Physicians & Surgeons and subsequently completed residency training in the Chief Residency at Yale's Primary Care Internal Medicine Residency Program. He currently serves as Associate Program Director for Ambulatory Education in the Primary Care Program and is the Director of the Addiction Recovery Clinic. His areas of interest include addiction medicine, medical education, and the art and science of physical diagnosis. Holt is actively involved in clinical activities such as precepting in an ambulatory clinic, co-directing the Yale Addiction Recovery Clinic, and serving as a general medicine ward attending. He pioneered a Musculoskeletal Exam Workshop Series for the Primary Care training program and co-directs the Racism, Bias, and Advocacy Medicine Distinction Track. With a focus on educational outreach, Holt has developed a vast body of online educational content, collaborates on addiction medicine topics, and speaks nationally and internationally.
