Biography

Stephen Kell is a Lecturer in the Department of Informatics at King's College London, having joined the institution in July 2021. He previously held a position as a Lecturer at the University of Kent and was a Senior Research Associate at the University of Cambridge. Kell earned his PhD from the University of Cambridge in 2012 and has also worked at the University of Oxford and the University of Lugano, in addition to industry experience. His research focuses on programming language implementation, operating system design, and humane technology. He has served as the Primary Investigator on multiple research projects, including 'Research CapC: Capability C semantics, tools reasoning' and 'DIADEM: Debugging made dependable measurable'. He is also involved in the DIAMETRIC project funded by EPSRC which studies the design and modeling of engineering software systems.
