Biography

Stephen Plant is the Dean and Runcie Fellow at Trinity Hall, where he teaches Christian theology and ethics within the Faculty of Divinity. He has edited several significant works including 'Bonhoeffer' (Continuum, 2004), 'SPCK Introduction to Simone Weil' (SPCK, 2007), and 'Taking Stock Bonhoeffer' (Ashgate, 2014). Between 2007 and 2013, he served as the editor of the influential journal 'Theology', published by SPCK/SAGE. His current research interests focus on theology within the context of international development, and he is in the process of writing a book for Bloomsbury Press addressing the theological life of Karl Barth. He is open to supervising doctoral students with interests in 20th century Protestant theology, international development, and political theology.
